Community Pathway

The Employment Pathway

Building a locally grounded, operationally sustainable human infrastructure.

Work That Sustains the Work

The Employment Pathway provides stable, structured roles within Pathways that support the delivery of programmes, the maintenance of the site, and the coordination of community initiatives. These roles are foundational to the organisation's ability to operate with consistency, dignity, and credibility.

By employing individuals directly from or connected to the surrounding community, Pathways ensures that its operations remain embedded within the local context. Economic stability enables everything else. Without it, even the most committed people cannot sustain long-term participation.

Locally Grounded

Employment Pathway roles are filled by people from or connected to the communities Pathways serves. Knowledge, skills, and economic benefit stay local.

Operationally Sustainable

Unlike volunteer-dependent organisations, Pathways builds continuity through employment. Staff are ongoing participants in the organisation's growth, not temporary contributors.

Accountable Structure

Clear reporting lines, defined functional groups, and direct oversight from the Initiative Director ensure that responsibilities are distributed and decisions are made efficiently.

Integrated with All Pathways

Employment Pathway staff are the operational backbone for every other programme; from Children's Enrichment to Pathways Connect to enterprise development.

The People Doing the Work

The Employment Pathway is active. Below are the current roles within Pathways, organised by department. These will only grow with time
