Community Pathway

Digital Pathways

Getting your school, church, NGO, or business online — with honest pricing and a working admin dashboard.

What a Website Involves

What Actually Goes Into a Website

If you have never had a website built before, there are five things that go into every project. Understanding them upfront means no surprises later.

Domain Name

Your address on the internet — like yourschool.edu.zm. Registered through a provider, renews every year.

The Website

The design, the pages, and the coding — including an admin dashboard so your staff can update things themselves.

Testing

Before anything goes live, we test it and walk through a working version with you first.

Email (Optional)

Professional email addresses on your own domain — like info@yourschool.edu.zm.

Ongoing Hosting

Keeping your website actually running, year after year. We handle this for you.

Domain Names

Your Domain Name

We recommend Imbra Zambia to register your domain — one of the cheapest reliable options in Zambia, and a platform we know well. That said, Imbra is a recommendation, not a requirement.

Come to us with at least three possible domain names in order of preference. Domain names are first-come, first-served — your first choice may already be taken.

Email Setup

Email for Your Organisation

There is an important difference: email storage is space for your inbox. Drive storage is shared space for documents and files, like Google Drive. Imbra provides email storage only; Google and Zoho bundle both together.

The Build

Building Your Website

Every website is priced in two parts: a one-time Foundation Fee based on your organisation type, and the pages you choose from our catalog.

Foundation Fee

Covers your Home page, admin dashboard, domain connection, hosting setup, testing, working preview, and staff training. Charged once.

Community Rate: Registered nonprofits, schools, and churches receive 30% off every page in the catalog, in addition to the reduced Foundation Fee shown above.

Page Catalog

Choose only the pages you actually want. Every price below is fixed and final.

Timeline

How Long It Takes

Build time depends on how many pages you choose and how complex they are. As a baseline for a typical project:

These are starting estimates — we will confirm an exact timeline once we know which pages you have chosen.

Priority Service Priority Service moves your project ahead of others in Pathways’ own build queue. It cannot speed up third-party processes such as Google for Nonprofits verification. Each tier runs on its own separate build queue.
After Launch

What Happens After Your Site Goes Live

Always included — at no extra cost
You and your staff update your own content, photos, and listings yourselves through your admin dashboard.
Included for 30 days after launch
Bug fixes and small corrections related to the original build.
A new, separately priced conversation
Structural changes or new pages beyond what you originally chose.
Working With Us

Your Pathways Point of Contact

Once you have chosen your tier and we have agreed on your pages and pricing, a single named person from Pathways will be assigned as your main point of contact for the entire project — from the first conversation through to launch and the 30-day post-launch support window.

This is usually the same person who will actually be building your site. You are not passed between different people or having to re-explain your needs partway through.

Ready to Get Started?

Come with an idea of the pages you would like, and at least three possible domain names in order of preference. We will take it from there.
